ARJUNA HAD THREE WIVES APART FROM DRAUPADI

Arjuna and his wives Ulupi, Chitrangada, and Subhadra

We all are aware that Arjuna was married to Draupadi. Draupadi during her swayamvara had chosen Arjuna and got married to him and later along with other Pandavas. Apart from her Arjuna had three other wives. we additionally know about Arjuna making Subhadra his wife. He had two other wives named Ulupi and Chitrangada.

After understanding that Pandavas had been alive, they had been given Khandavprasta place by Dhritarashtra which was already destroyed before and seemed like a frightening forest but later Pandavas with all their efforts cleaned that and made their kingdom. Lord Krishna asked the divine architect Viswakarma to construct a palace named Indraprastha there. Narada was welcomed there and he set policies for the Pandavas that, only one Pandavas ought to stay with Draupadi at a time. After finishing one year the other had to stay. Until the completion of the targeted period, no other Pandavas were allowed to enter the palace. otherwise, they had to leave the kingdom and  practice celibacy for up to twelve years in the forest."

Unfortunately, Arjuna had failed to comply with the rule.  Some thieves had stolen a cow from a Brahmin, he called for help, and Arjuna to get his arrow and bow entered the house that time Yudhishthira and Draupadi were there. Arjuna saved the cows from the thieves, gave them back to the Brahmin, and as per the rule went to the forest.

He stayed near Ganga and he along with other Brahmins performed Agnihotra there. They offered sraddha to their ancestors after taking a bath. That time when Arjuna entered the Ganga, someone dragged him inside the water. Arjuna reached the kingdom of Nagaraj Kauravya and saw a fire blazing there so he completed his agnihotra there only and pleased the fire god.

Then he saw snake king Kauravya's daughter Ulupi there who had earlier dragged him down that time. She requested Arjuna to get intimate with her. Arjuna denied it as he had to practice celibacy during his exile. But Ulupi mentioned to him, "I Know about the rule which you have broken. But it is made only for Draupadi: towards getting intimate with her in that palace. It has nothing to do with fulfilling the desire of a snake king's daughter like me."

As per her request Arjuna did so and the next day he left the kingdom. She blessed him that he would be invincible in the water always. Arjuna had a fearless son named Iravan from Ulupi.

Arjuna next went to Manipura, chitravahana was ruling there. He had a charming daughter named Chitrangada. Arjuna saw her and asked for her hand to his father. Then Chitravahana noted that all his ancestors had sons because of Lord Shiva's grace. Only he had a daughter whom he always considered his son only. He additionally stated, "Even if she gets married to you then the son that would be born to both of you must stay in this kingdom as my son."

Arjuna agreed and married Chitrangada. He stayed there in the kingdom for one year. They both had a son named Babruvahana. Arjuna later asked Chitravahana to keep his son with him there in his kingdom and additionally instructed Chitrangada to stay there in Manipura to take care of their son. He promised to take her to Indraprastha as soon as his exile duration would be over.

Arjuna then went to Dwarka and met Lord Krishna there. He was welcomed by the bhoja, Bushni, dynasty, and all other Dwaraka people. He stayed there in the palace. After a few days, they had a pageant there. Arjuna and Lord Krishna had been roaming around there. Then Arjuna saw lovely Subhadra there who was adorned with jewels. Flattened by her beauty, Arjuna wished to be intimate with her. He came to be aware from Lord Krishna about her that she was his and Balarama's sole sister (Daughter of Vasudev and Rohini). With the intention of marrying her, Arjuna requested Lord Krishna for a way out. Lord Krishna  Mentioned to Arjuna that, "there are uncertainties when it comes to Yadu dynasty ladies to choose an individual in the course of swayamvara. No one is aware of the consequences."

Arjuna was a Kshatriya therefore Lord Krishna advised him to abduct Subhadra. Arjuna agreed And he took the lord's chariot and went to Rebataka mountain. Subhadra was once returning to Dwarka after worshipping deities there. Arjuna forcefully took her to the Indraprastha. Dwarka people came to know about this incident thus all the Yadu dynasty guys prepared to take revenge on Arjuna. Angry Balarama could see Lord Krishna sitting idle and doing nothing about it. He asked him how could he stay so silent after seeing all this. Later Lord Krishna explained to all of them, "It would be amazing if Subhadra gets married to such a courageous Pandava Arjuna, He considers Arjuna as the best partner for beautiful Subhadra,  Furthermore, Fearless Arjuna owns my chariot by this Time and aside from Lord Shiva no one can ever defeat him."

So Krishna asked all of his men to bring Arjuna back to Dwarka and later they all agreed with him. Arjuna got married to Subhadra and stayed in Dwarka for a year.

I've studied from the book that when Arjuna went to Indraprastha along with Subhadra, Draupadi could not accept her at the beginning. Subhadra then went to her as her slave. Draupadi got moved via Subhadra's courteous conduct toward her as she by no means deserved to remain there as her slave. Subhadra and Arjuna had an exquisite son named Abhimanyu who had a critical role in the Mahabharata war.
