SHISHUPALA HUMILIATED KRISHNA BY TAKING NAME OF RUKMINI

Lord Krishna relieves Shishupala of his hundred sins and then kills him

Here in this post, I will elaborate on the birth of Shishupal,  how he was once excused by Lord Krishna for his hundred offences, and later was killed. Yudhishthira on his day of Rajasuya Yajna was recommended via Bhishma to worship Lord Krishna first. Shishupala could not tolerate this and went in opposition to it. There Bhishma defined the birth of Shishupala.

Shishupala was born to Chedi King Damaghosha. He was having three eyes and four hands at that time. He was crying like a donkey. Seeing his bizarre form, his parents along with relatives determined to abandon him. Suddenly they heard a voice from the sky not to leave the infant out of fear. Shishupala's demise had not come at that time. It additionally noted to them that, The one who would kill him had already been born.

Curiously his parents requested about the one who would kill their son.

The voice foretold that "his extra body parts like his third eye would vanish and his two ultimate arms would fall on the earth at the time that person takes the baby into his lap. Shishupala would die at the hands of that person."

A lot of people visited the palace to see such a special child. Chedi King positioned his son on each and everyone's lap, however, could not locate the individual who would be the cause of his son's death. Balarama and Krishna got here to see their aunt Shrutashrava; Sister of Vasudeva. She welcomed both of them and positioned her son on Lord Krishna's lap out of affection. All of a surprise his arms fell and the third eye got disappeared. She was distressed to see this. She requested Krishna to provide her concerned aunt with a boon that he would forgive his son for all his sins.

Lord Krishna noted to her that he would only pardon his hundred sins. This was the cause Lord Krishna had not killed Shishupala till then.

When Shishupala went against Bhishma and humiliated Lord Krishna in front of all of them by calling him a servant mere cowherd and worthless to be honored as a king. He provoked them into a war there. Lord Krishna mentioned all his wrongdoings which he had already excused. Shishupala without any reason had hurt the Yadu dynasty people. Shishupala had set fire to Dwarika, killed all the servants and captured a few of Ugrasena when he was roaming on the Revati mountain, abducted a horse to put hindrances in Ashwamedha yajna done by Vasudeva, kidnapped Babhru's wife, abducted his uncle Karusharaj's daughter by disguising in his form, and a lot of other sins. Even Sisupala had wished to marry Rukmini but Lord Krishna took her away from there as per her wish and married her. Shishupala then told Krishna, "How can you be such shameless as to make Rukmini your spouse whom I had already chosen before!" Krishna had already excused all his hundred mistakes as per his aunt's plea. He then released his Sudarshana chakra and killed Shishupala at that time in front of all. His soul came out of his body like a shining light, it offered prayers to Krishna there and merged into his body. Everyone praised the Lord there. Yudhishthira crowned Shishupala's son to be the chedi king.
